Art inspired by Computer Viruses

I have to admire these strange and intricate works of art created by digital artist Alex Dragalescu.

This series of 3D digital portraits inspired by internet security threats was commissioned by the internet security firm MessageLabs.

Subjects include Phishing, the Netsky virus, the Ghost spyware program, Trojanagentil3, Russian 3 spam, and the Storm botnet.

  1. I think that art should include some element of uniqueness. In the case of painting I think that the element of uniqueness could be achieved by stressing the tridimensional nature af it almost as if it was a sculpture. The augmentation of depth, the rupture of the borders, the use of materials foreign to art production, recicled.
