Most people have an idea of how they want to be presented. I am happy to work with your ideas and offer advice on web related design issues. I can ensure that your online showcase is easy and pleasant to use, accessible to everyone, search engine friendly and reliable in its functioning.

I can offer web hosting, website development, web content authoring and interactive features to bring a little extra 'zing' to your website. In many cases, open source scripts already exist which can provide the features you want, and I am also happy to customise these and integrate them into your website.

Brochure Website Packages:

These packages are intended as a general guideline only. Everyone wants different things from their websites and different approaches will get different results for them. Use the packages below to get a rough idea of the size of website you want, then contact me with the details, and I will work with you to figure out what will work best, what is essential, what's extra, and what to leave room for in future, and I'll give you a quote with an itemised job list.
  • Internet Leaflet (small brochure style site):
    I charge £240 for a three page brochure site, eg welcome / introduction page, products/services page, and contact details with email link. Javascript address 'munging' is included to hide your email address from spammers.

  • Internet Brochure (medium brochure style site):
    £360 will buy a medium brochure site, for example a welcome / introduction page,  two products/services pages, a price list, contact details with an email form to request information or join a mailing list, a privacy policy, and accessibility information.

  • Internet Booklet (larger brochure style site):
    £480 will buy a larger brochure site, for example a welcome / introduction page, four products/services pages, a price list, contact details with an email form to request information or join a mailing list, a privacy policy, accessibility user information, special offers, Frequently Asked Questions, and a site map. Template Shop Discount

Due to the amount of time saved, I can offer a discount of £120 to brochure website customers who use one of my occasional free templates or purchase a template from my Template Shop. (In fact it is not 'my' template shop, as I host it for a commission, a little like having a Coke machine in my building). These templates are developed and sold by another company, so please get in touch first to confirm that the template you have found is suitable for customisation. Please note that at present I cannot customise the PHP-Nuke or Flash templates. However, I will work on the others to customise them for you and ensure they are search engine friendly and standards-compliant for reliable performance and accessibility.


Web Hosting Features for Brochure Websites

Brochure websites include three email addresses with a web mailbox each, junk mail filters, email forwarding, autoresponders and a mailing list available.  Domain name registration for a '.co.uk' domain and the first year of web hosting are included, with hosting and automatic domain name renewal charged on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis afterwards, depending on the type of account required.  Dynamic and interactive features may require larger accounts with MySQL databases available, so it is a good idea to think ahead to the features you may want to add to your website in future. Website setup costs can be spread out as monthly payments over a year if this is more convenient (or 2 years if over £600), with a £5 annual fee to cover extra payment processing costs.


Brochure Website Add-ons

Repeated Page Designs:

Once a page template has been designed, extra pages using this template may be added for £15 each, not including image processing services. However, if you have many very similar pages, you may want to consider a database website or database features to reduce your maintenance costs.

Search Marketing:

All Beach Web Design websites include search engine friendliness built in from the start, including advice to you on planning your content, optimised file and directory structures, page structuring, and data on and about the pages (metadata). For an extra £45, you can also have keyword analysis, HTML and Google text site maps, robot access optimisation, search engine submissions, up to 10 directory submissions and link exchanges where appropriate. As new websites can spend several months in Google's 'sandbox', I will continue to monitor your website's traffic and search results for at least six months and provide advice accordingly.

Updates:

Regular updates can be scheduled at an hourly rate of £10 / hour, while occasional updates can be arranged at £15 / hour. Hours spent on regular update contracts can also be averaged out throughout the year.

Accessibility:

All Beach Web Design websites comply with at least the WAI minimum Level 1 accessibility standard. I aim higher, and can provide higher standards of accessibility for an hourly rate of £15 / hour.
