New Website: Kirsty Bonning, Animal Portrait and Landscape Painter
New website launched 1st December! This website for Kirsty Bonning, another one of the Brooks family of artists from Black Dog Studios, showcases her beautiful, atmospheric landscape paintings of Devon, and animal portraits that really bring out the animal's personality, as well as architectural paintings to commission. This website was developed by Beach Web Design, to include web standards validation, search engine friendliness and user accessibility. Kirsty Bonning's website is also hosted with us, via Beach Web Hosting. Free E-cards featuring Kirsty's paintings of Devon will be appearing soon, so watch this space!
New Website: Aneski Egyptian Maus and Asian Cats
Aneski Egyptian Maus and Asian Cats went online on the 1st of October. (Warning: contains irresistible kitten photos!). This website makes good use of our photo image processing services, with photos optimised for faster access times and improved screen display. The design was created in collaboration with Aneski Cats and built from scratch to be search engine friendly, with good usability features and compliance with legal guidelines for web accessibility. This website is also hosted with us, and has recently added a photo gallery of Egyptian Maus, Asian cats, and kittens.
In August I did some work for Chikara UK (http://www.chikarauk.com). Chikara means 'See the Dream', and they had a very nice e-commerce website that wasn't showing up in search engines at all. I made some changes to the code behind the scenes on their web pages and they are now appearing first and second in search engine listings for some of their search phrases. I also developed a taste for their modern tribal jewellery - I'm looking forward to visiting their new shop on Exeter Quay, and a UK mini site for the new Chikara UK shop in Exeter will be arriving soon.
I began working on a website redesign project for the Brooks family of artists at Black Dog Studios, near Crediton. They built their own website in FrontPage and Actinic a few years ago and although it looks very nice it needed a lot of updating and restructuring to make it more search engine friendly and accessible. Being artists, they've taken the opportunity to come up with a completely new design, which looks fantastic, and I get to build it for them. Hooray! Their old website, which shows a lot of their paintings, is at http://www.blackdog-studios.com.
